Bridal Show Survival Tips
Bridal shows are a great resource for you to use to help plan your wedding. Try these tips to make your bridal show experience more
productive.
1. Come to have fun, and to do business
Many bridal shows have their fair share of give aways, freebies, food, cake and entertainment, which can make for an enjoyable afternoon, but let's
not forget the underlying reason you're there... to find products and services for your wedding. Use your time at the show to evaluate companys and services.
Don't just simply pickup literature from table to table, actually take the time to talk to people and get the full picture of what they can do for you. Your bridal show experience will be more positive if you leave with more than a bag full of "stuff you picked up".
2. Bring your check book (and budget)
Come to the bridal show with an overall budget in mind. You might want make a check sheet of items or services you want to find out more information about,
and make notes as you talk to businesses. Have your check book ready.. Many times you can save money by taking advantage of "show specials" that businesses offer during bridal shows. This is a great
way to keep under your budget. Also, some items or services on your list may require a deposit, these may include photographer, videographer, reception hall, caterer. These services are usually in very high
demand, so get your deposit in earlier and lock down what you need.
3. Bring items to help you keep organized
Bring such things as pens, note pads, binder, etc.
One way to save time at the registration and give away tables is to bring preprinted address lables. While other people are getting writers cramps, you are off getting your information (or reserving your services) first. Just
include your name, address, phone number, email and wedding date on the lables, anything else can be quickly written in. Now, if you are coming to the Athens Bridal show this month, you're in luck.
Just stop by AthensWeddings.com's hospitality area and pick up your free binder and pen!!
4. Bring a friend
A second opinion is always a good thing, and they can help carry all of the handout
literature you'll receive.
5. Give yourself enough time to see everything
Maybe the most important factor in having a positive bridal show experience.
Plan on "making it a day" and don't try to run through everything quickly. Chances are, depending on the turnout, you won't be able to do that anyhow because you'll standing in lines as you go from business to business. Think of this event as "one stop wedding shopping". It will be your best time to get items and tasked off of your To Do list.
